The Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite MasterCard® Short Review
If you make a fairly standard initial purchase shortly after opening up your card, you’ll get a whole heap of bonus miles to put towards your Hawaiian holiday. This amount is often enough to cover one trip to one of the islands free and clear. You’ll also see big cuts in what Hawaiian charges your traveling companion to come along with you. This is a one-time thing, but if you are planning ahead (and if you are reading this, you definitely are), then you will be able to make this reward count! Every new year you enter with your Hawaiian Airlines MasterCard still active, you’ll get another solid discount for companion travel. Sure is nice for someone to remember your anniversary, isn’t it?
The Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite MasterCard® Long Review
You’ll also get a cheap-as-free checked bag each time you Fly Hawaiian. This applies only when you book straight through Hawaiian, not other travel agents and services. Another good point on this card is its lack of a foreign transaction fee, a major selling point for many frustrated consumers. It seems that Hawaiian has listened to the many customers railing online against this practice. Good to know they listen.
Perhaps it goes without saying, but say it I will, your rewards points will never disappear or black out with a Hawaiian Airlines credit card such as this. There is a moderate annual fee that comes along with this card’s great rewards, but that just goes with the territory. Try to get the bevy of free travel miles that comes standard with this one with one of the free cards.
The Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite MasterCard® is also really good about making charitable donations on their cardholders’ behalf. This may not be a huge selling point for you, but it’s good to know you’ll be spreading around what you have. This Barclay Card also makes it easy to transfer your rewards to friends and family. A definite perk.
The Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite MasterCard® is an excellent choice for travelers who count Hawaii as a frequent destination, particularly those who fly Hawaiian Airlines. The Hawaiian-specific perks make this a great addition to the Hawaii holidayer’s wallet. Competitors offer similar benefits without the yearly fee, but these don’t feature the comfort and reputation of Hawaiian Airlines. As always, you get what you pay for, and that is luxury and peace of mind with this Hawaiian Airlines credit card. With an initial rewards program that could send you to Hawaii for nothing (or next to nothing), this card is clearly worth a look.
